Cornish pubs win BII Heart of the Community Award

In 2020, the Victoria Inn in Threemilestone, the Victoria Inn in Roche and the Norway Inn received a Heart of the Community Award from the British Institute of Innkeeping.

The recognition followed the work the teams carried out during the coronavirus crisis. That included launching the Pub Grub takeaway and doorstep-delivery service, supporting vulnerable customers and NHS workers, staying in touch with regulars and keeping the community connected while pubs were closed.

The old Victoria Inn news page records that Pub Grub had delivered more than 25,000 meals during the period, while the Threemilestone team also ran an online pub quiz that attracted thousands of participants.
